Spruce Grove Chiropractor | First Visit

Make Yourself at Home

When you arrive at the Chiropractic Connection Centre, you will be warmly greeted. You will then fill out some paperwork before seeing the Doctor.

Please bring your Alberta Health Card with you. Anyone under the age of 18 years of age needs to bring a parent or legal guardian with them to sign the necessary forms.

Finalize Paperwork

Please arrive 15 minutes earlier then your scheduled appointment to allow time to finalize all the paperwork. Allow at least 1/2 hour for the first appointment.

Thorough Consultation & Examination

Next, you will meet Dr. Marty for a very thorough consultation and examination. The consultation will not only educate you about how Chiropractic may help you, but will allow you to share with us the health goals you wish to achieve. The examination includes a computerized spinal scan of your nervous system. Dr. Marty may refer you out to have digital spinal x-rays as well.

Chiropractic Care

Usually, you will receive your first treatment during the first visit. However, if the examination determines you need further testing before a treatment can be received, we may not start care until the second visit.

During your second visit, we will describe your test results.

Dr. Marty Asks some important questions of interest to Spruce Grove residents - Chiropractor Spruce Grove Dr. Marty Asks...

How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
Why are frequent visits advised when starting chiropractic care?
Consistent visits at the beginning of your chiropractic care help create the momentum necessary to correct and retrain unhealthy spinal patterns. Later, Spruce Grove patients find that continued care on a less frequent visit schedule can help preserve their progress and avoid a relapse.
